Apple is changing the way data sharing works within apps and Facebook is not happy about it. As part of their iOS14 update, Apple will soon require users to opt-in to data sharing instead of opting-out of it in an effort to protect user privacy.
If you ask Apple, they say they’re standing up for their users; but if you ask Facebook they say this move could cripple small businesses and impact how we run ads, measure performance and stifle business growth.
As usual, the real answer is somewhere in the middle.
