Changes at YelpSoftware Advice recently released results of a survey indicating that Yelp is now the most popular site for online physician reviews, followed by Healthgrades and RateMDs. According to the same survey, positive patient reviews across multiple websites are necessary to attract and retain more patients (and, we’ve seen this to be true).

More than 60 percent of respondents say they use patient reviews prior to choosing a doctor.

Now, more than ever before, it’s critical that you claim and control your practice profile on Yelp.

Yelp has been in the news a lot recently, in part because of some partnerships they’ve established to promote reviews for hospitals, and clinics.  However, such reviews have only grown in popularity as consumers increasingly challenge the notion that doctor knows best about everything.

In this episode, Corey and Jennifer discuss the recent headlines surrounding Yelp and dissect user comments directed toward healthcare professionals and practices like yours.
