Reputation Management Subscription Service
What to Expect With Our Reputation Management Subscription Service
We’ll Claim Your Profiles
There are dozens upon dozens of physician rating websites like Healthgrades.com, Vitals.com and RateMD.com that allow your patients (and competitors and disgruntled employees, etc.) to anonymously post comments about their experience in your office – and these anonymous comments often show up on the front page of search engines like Google, thereby impacting a potential new patient’s first impression of you.
As part of our Reputation Management Subscription Service, we will Claim, Manage and Monitor these profiles on your behalf. We’ll need your NPI number, current CV and headshot to get started. As soon as you sign up for our service, we’ll be in contact to track down this information from your office.
Here’s Why That Matters
- More than 100 million people choose websites like Healthgrades.com to determine whom their physician will be – and that number is growing.
There is no real barrier or protection against those who would use the medium to attack rivals/competitors, flaunt grudges, etc. (think disgruntled patients or former employees).- 80% of shoppers change their purchase decisions for products and services based on negative reviews.
- Your reviews and profile have an immediate impact on patient perception. If the page is unclaimed and the information is incorrect, it may be perceived that you are unprofessional or “out of the loop.”
- Patients can review your location, your bedside manner, waiting times, etc. These reviews, both positive and negative, will show up on the first page of Google as a first impression to your prospective patient.
- You must claim and update your profile every 6 months to keep it current. We’ve seen more offices than we can count with incorrect address and contact information.
We’ll Manage Your Profile
After we’ve claimed your profile on each relevant physician rating website, we’ll then upload the latest information about you and your practice. Each physician rating website is a little different, but here’s some of what you can expect us to do:
- Verify that information about your practice is correct including your Name, Phone Number, Website Address and all links connecting from the rating website to your website
- Verify that your education, training, residency, board certifications and recent awards are accurately listed
- Verify accepted insurances
- Verify hospital affiliations
- Load an approved photo
We’ll Provide Ongoing Monitoring of Your Profile
After we have claimed and managed your profile on the relevant physician rating websites, it’s important that someone continuously monitor what’s going on to ensure that the information stays correct and if a negative review gets posted, you know about it and can respond immediately.
Recent Example of Why It’s Important to Monitor: We recently updated physician profiles for a 20-doctor practice and not 30 days after updating everything, we found that the local hospital had gone in and managed to change the ‘Call for an Appointment’ from our client’s main appointment number to the hospital’s main appointment number. We caught it early enough but cannot imagine how many patient appointments could have been lost. Our Monthly Monitoring Service includes us sending you a detailed report of any new patient ratings you receive, any changes to your position on the major search engines and suggestions for improving your ratings. If at any point you receive a less than flattering patient review, we will immediately contact your office so that you may follow up personally. This monthly service does not include content creation. If you would like content development for your practice, contact us for a custom quote.
Why is there a monthly fee?
Because managing your reputation is an ongoing process and requires a lot of upfront work. We’ve broken it down into a subscription service so that you can decide how much you are comfortable investing in your online reputation.
NOTE: We have found that several of the physician rating websites refresh their original data every six months.
