Local Businesses Attract Customers at Waterford Lakes Town Center for Tax-Free Weekend

(Orlando, FL) August 18, 2010 – In partnership with Waterford Lakes Town Center, Insight Marketing Group hosted the Back 2 School Business Expo on August 14-15 – this year’s tax-free weekend.  Over the course of the two day tax holiday weekend nearly 20 local businesses set up booths and sold their product directly to the thousands of individuals walking the busy outdoor shopping destination’s sidewalks.

Eager vendors could be seen looking to sell an assortment of products and services at the one-stop back to school shop ranging from ballet lessons to jewelry and even kitchen utensils for those students moving away from home.

Waterford Lakes Town Center is already recognized as one of the busiest shopping centers in the southeast.  On average, more than 35,000 cars visit the town center every day, and tax-free weekend was no different.  Considered to be one of the four busiest shopping days of the year, the event was considered an overall success from the town center, booth vendors and attendees alike.

“In an effort to produce the best experience possible for vendors and attendees, we try to partner with the Town Center as much as possible because of their built-in, receptive audience and promotion prowess,” says Jennifer Thompson, president of Insight Marketing Group. “Back to school time is always a huge time of the year to shop, coupled with the fact that tax-free weekend was here made for a great success for the vendors that were able to come out, endure the heat and put on a big smile.”
